With pregnancy comes a wide range of emotion. Excitement, anticipation, nervousness, hope and joy. Most of all it bring with it the feeling of a love like no other. It is a love that has no bounds, and a love that cannot be broken.

Welcome daddys!  In honour of Father's Day, on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10-1 pm, The Happy Baby and Reflections of Life Photography will be offering daddy & baby photography sessions, right there in the store.

The eyes can say so much without ever saying a word. The eyes are the window to our souls. And when they make a real connection with my camera, an image is created that can touch the viewer's soul.

There is beauty in simplicity. An everlasting beauty that is seen by the masses. As a photographer, it can be so easy to get caught up in the grande setups, frilly outfits and colorful accessories. To get caught up in the trends of the time.

Recently, Reflections of Life Photography went on location to the Happy Baby Shop to hold Mama's Day Petite Sessions. I love doing these special sessions because it gets the mamas out there in front of the camera with their little ones instead of behind it.

Babies are amazing little humans. They have so much joy, love and wonder for everything around them. They are pure innocence and pure joy. Babies see things that we, as adults, can no longer see. 

Sue and Dylan came back to the Reflections of Life studio with their precious baby girl, Rylan Brianna. Sue and Dylan had previously been to the studio for Sue's maternity session, where we focused on making Sue feel as beautiful as she looked.

As an artist and a human, I make it my mission to never stop growing and to never stop learning. It can be easy, and perhaps a little tempting at times, to fall into routine. You find a system that works for you and you stick to it. That is when you know you need to find a little inspiration.

Change. It can be hard. It is rarely easy. Even the smallest change to routine can throw the rest of your day off course. More often than not, however, we must embrace change. Especially when that change is within ourselves.

As a photographer and small business owner, one of the greatest compliments to receive is a referral from a client. To know that a client not only enjoyed their session but loved their images enough to recommend Reflections of Life Photography to a loved one or friend means everything to me.

The first thing that probably comes to mind when you hear the word "portrait" is a portrait of a person, or a portrait of a family. A formal photograph. But what about life's portraits? Is it the the collection of portraits throughout our lives, or is it something more?

There is a difference between looking beautiful and feeling beautiful. We are all beautiful. Beautiful in our own way. There is beauty in life. But we do not always feel beautiful.
