You've Never Once Been Alone

With the government recommendations for social distancing, we can feel so alone. It’s been just over a week for our family without visiting a family member or friend, but it feels like it’s been longer. Even with all the internet capabilities, I still feel lonely.

When my son Henry climbs down the stairs into our basement, he’s usually scared. It’s darker down there, it’s still in it’s 1970’s glory, and he just doesn’t like it. For years I’ve been telling him not to worry about being alone, that God is always with him.

And God is with you now, among the chaos of not knowing. He’s with you in the uncertainty and the stress. He’s also with you in the rewatch of Frozen 2 and the extra-long bedtime snuggles. No matter what you’re in the midst of, you’ve never once been alone. Let’s just take a minute and let that sink in today.

About This Sweet Family

This is Aneta, Mike and their newborn Isla. They connected with me to create genuine photos of their little newborn baby girl. This is their first baby and they were super excited to make these memories and be able to look back at them.

Like me, Aneta loves neutrals and black and white photos so they were very happy with the images we created together.

“Karen was wonderful to work with right from the start - organized and on top of everything, providing advice and tips along the way for everything, including wardrobe. She is attentive and responded really quickly to all of our questions prior to the shoot. During the shoot, she made us feel comfortable and the whole thing felt very natural. She directed us in a calm and professional manner and was beyond amazing with our daughter throughout the whole thing! Even helped burp her after a feeding! We cannot wait to see the pictures which are available within the week - impressive!!” - Aneta Drozd

Hi there, I'm Karen! I am obsessed with newborn baby yawns, giggling kids, and fancy flavoured tea. I'm a mama of four who understands the busyness of everyday life and I've learned how to embrace and enjoy the beauty of it through lifestyle photography. I know what it’s like to look back on my children’s first years and feel like they flew by so quickly. I don’t want any other mamas to forget what their baby’s little fingers and toes looked like all curled up. My hope is that I can help you create albums and prints to serve as physical reminders of these sweet times throughout your baby’s early years. Contact me for info.
