Booking a baby or family photo session should feel exciting, not stressful. My studio sessions are designed to be calm, fully supported, and even a little luxurious. Whether this is your first photo session or your fifth, here’s exactly what to expect when you walk through the doors of my Niagara studio.

Before Your Session: I Handle the Details So You Don’t Have To

Before your session is booked, we’ll meet for a planning consultation, whether it be in person or over the phone. This is your chance to share what matters most to you, including any milestones you want to capture. From there, I take care of the rest:

🌿 Full wardrobe styling for the whole family, including a curated, size-inclusive studio closet
🌿 Professional hair and makeup for mom
🌿 A cozy, light-filled studio fully prepped with everything we need for your little one

You’ll also get a short list of what to bring and how to prepare. No matching outfits or last-minute errands required.

What to Bring to Your Studio Session

You truly don’t need much. Most families bring:
🌿 Any personal items you’d like photographed, such as a baby blanket, family heirloom, or keepsake
🌿 Diaper bag essentials like diapers, wipes, snacks, and a favourite toy or pacifier

If you forget something, I likely have a backup. The studio is stocked with wraps, baby-safe props, and extras just in case.

What to Wear: I’ve Got You Covered

Coordinating outfits shouldn't be another thing on your plate. My studio wardrobe includes:

When You Arrive: Settle In and Relax

When you arrive at the studio, everything is already in place. Hair and makeup will have been done in your home beforehand, so you can show up feeling ready and taken care of. Little ones are welcome to explore or settle in for a cuddle. There’s no pressure or rush. I always build in buffer time to keep things calm and flexible.

If your child is shy or slow to warm up, that’s completely normal. I always ease in gently and take time to connect before picking up the camera. You’re welcome to grab a snack, feed your baby, or just take a breath before we begin.

During the Session: Real Moments, Not Forced Smiles

This is not about stiff posing or fake smiles. I focus on capturing honest connection, gentle moments, and calm joy. Whether we’re working with:

We’ll meet again in the studio or online for your ordering appointment. I’ll walk you through your favourite images and help you choose how you want to enjoy them:
