One Whole Year: A First Birthday Session in Grimsby

A year ago this little guy was brand new.

He Showed Up Ready

He walked in and immediately started exploring every corner of the studio. Pulling up on the couch. Grinning at the camera like he had done this before. His parents barely had to do anything except keep up with him.

The Mom and Baby Moments

There is something about the way a baby looks at their mom at this age.

Like she is still the whole world, even now that the world has gotten a lot bigger and more interesting.

The bubble bath portion of a first year session is one of those things that sounds fun in theory and then turns out to be even better in person. He was in his element. Rubber duck, warm water, two parents making faces at him.

The photos from this part of the session are always ones parents come back to again and again. There is something about a happy, soggy baby in a tiny bathtub that just captures this age perfectly.

The Little Moments In Between

Not every favourite image from a session is a big planned moment.

This one basically took itself. He found a gap in the curtains and went for it. Classic.
