Home. It means something different to each one of us.

Maybe it brings up memories of fits of laughter and freshly baked cookies and movie nights. Maybe it is this feeling that you get it the centre of your soul where you can let go and be yourself. Maybe it is the space and the people that have shown up on your darkest nights and you on theirs.

The older I get the more I realize that home isn’t a place, home is people.

Home is found in the reflection of the eyes of our children. Home is found in the arms of our husbands and wives. Home is found at the table of our best friends. Home is in the little moments and the big ones where we remember who we are and whose we are.

Home is found in the hearts of people. And guaranteed, there are those who find their home in you and there are those who you find your home in.

Know those people. Make room for those people. Celebrate those people.

At the end of the day, this life isn’t about the numbers or the accolades. It's about love, about hope, about those who we got to live boldly and vulnerably with.

About this Newborn & Family Session

This is my third session with Bryan and Allison. I was excited to welcome their baby into the world with portraits! Especially after their gorgeous maternity photo shoot from 2017.

When photographers invite me to photograph their sessions, I'm always so honoured. Bryan is a fellow photographer. He owns Bryan Caporicci Photography in Fonthill, Ontario. He's also the founder of Sprout Studio.

Newborn baby Andrew has just made Benjamin a big brother, and Ava an older sister of two boys! They are full of energy and excitement about it, too!

Congratulations again, Bryan & Allison. I can't wait to watch your three little ones grow. I pray that they have the same kindness, generosity and easy going nature their parents do. You truly have a beautiful family. xo
